My definition of a happy productive weekend is one where I finish my errands, perhaps catch a movie, do some shopping, and visit the places I wouldn't get to go to on working weekdays! Yesterday was one of those days, and I gave particular priority to visiting the gallery exhibits I had been seeing online. One museum with both classic and modern art, to another with installation and conceptual thought.

No other giddy-ness can compare to walking out from a great movie (no matter how depressing it actually was) or exiting a gallery whose art made me smile. A happy, productive weekend indeed!

Extensions featuring work by National Artists Felix Hidalgo, Ben Cabrera and Juan Luna ♥ (among others), and work from Pilipinas Street Plan and J. Elizalde Navarro (among other modern artists as well, though not in these pictures), in celebration of the Lopez Museum's 50th anniversary, in Lopez Museum, Pasig. Present Superstition by Nikki Luna, in Blanc Peninsula.

Love in 2011

I'm celebrating one full year of doing display projects with this Valentine's Day wall!

It's really never too early (or too late) to start remembering and cherishing the people you love. This is our reminder to you (and to all our customers!) that love really is all around.

In windblown memories,

in our heart of hearts,

in the silent whispers,

in the caves of emotion,

in the bits and pieces that make up our everyday lives.

May you experience all the love in the world ♥ ♥ ♥

Happy hearts!

Excited to observe some more graffiti artists this week! :-)

This set was made in July of 2010, right before I started my current job! It was my last shoot and also my most ambitious set up ever, with Marco as production designer. We needed a wall painted with the word Pointen, the name of the music group whose video we were making.

I'll definitely post the video once I get a copy! For now, I leave you with the pictures of my biggest, hardest and very last project as a member of an art department.

A small, but notable exhibit of large figures and shadows cut out from felt.  Very similar to my favorite kind of cut-out paper art! Makes me want to pick up a cutter and finally do something with all the craft paper cartolina I have "saved" here at home. :-)

Decorated a furniture showroom last week. With only two days to prepare, it was very reminiscent of my old shooting life! I'm still amazed that despite what I thought was a little number of things on hand, they all seemed to fit in the end.
